Skinnovation takes place in Innsbruck (Check our programme for exact locations) and the skiing resorts: Axamer Lizum and Schlick 2000.

Where can I stay/sleep during the event?2018-11-11T11:34:47+00:00

We recommend you to book one of our partner hotels (booking codes for special rates will be send to you after booking your ticket or check out Airbnb. If you do not travel by car we recommend you to book accommodation in the city center to reach all event locations by foot.

Do I need own skiing/snowboard equipment?2018-11-11T11:35:35+00:00

You are very welcome to bring your own skiing and boarding equipment with you. If not, you can rent your equipment at “Die Börse in Innsbruck. When presenting your Skinnovation ticket you will get 10% discount.

Is there anything special I need to bring?2018-11-11T11:35:57+00:00

Yes, please pack your skiing gear (if you have your own one) and do not forget warm clothing also for the evening events. On Friday night we will have a party in a giant igloo and warm boots are recommended.

If you are owning a Dirndl or Lederhosen you are invited to wear them on our first evening as this evening is themed as Tyrolean evening.  

The rest of the event is sporty casual, so hoodie and jeans are fine to wear if you are not wearing your skiing gear.

I cannot ski or snowboard, is it still possible to participate?2018-11-11T11:36:16+00:00

Yes! You can also participate without skiing. However, please note that some activities require skiing skills such as the lift pitch and ski race. All huts where talks take place (except one) can also be reached without ski.


Will I be able to pitch my startup to investors/public?2018-11-11T11:36:47+00:00

Yes. You can sign up for the lift pitch. If you can make it among the finalists, you will also have the chance to pitch in front of the crowd on Saturday night.

Anyone who has an idea/concept/product which he would like to share with others. Please note that spots for the networking pitch are very limited and require an application. After purchasing a ticket you will be notified about the application process.

What kind of technical equipment is provided for pitching?2018-11-11T11:37:39+00:00

At the lift pitch there is no technical equipment. Bring your slides printed or on a tablet. However note that temperatures can be below 0 degrees which might kill any battery.  

At the final pitch there will be “normal” technical equipment including a Windows laptop, projector and screen.

Yes, if you are purchasing 3 or more tickets at once you will get 25% discount.

Lunch and dinner is included in the ticket price.

I have a Freizeitticket or Snowcard, can I get a cheaper price for the ticket?2018-11-11T11:41:01+00:00

Yes, you can buy the Skinnovation ticket with a discount of 80 Euro. The Freizeitticket is valid for all ski resorts visited during Skinnovation. Attention: the Snowcard is not valid for the cable car used on Friday night. If you have the Snowcard please contact kathi@skinnovation.io to buy the ticket for the Nordkette separately through us (you can also buy it directly at the Nordkette on Skinnovation Friday, but availability is limited)
